Lee Jung-hoo is back! Third starting center field...have no trouble playing in the opening game

Lee Jung-hoo, who did not play in the exhibition game due to back pain, returned.

He was listed as the third batter center fielder in an exhibition game against the Sacramento River Cats (Triple A under San Francisco) at Sutter Health Park in Sacramento, California on the 24th (Korea Standard Time). 먹튀검증
Lee Jung-hoo was scheduled to start the game against the Seattle Mariners on the 16th, but fell out due to back pain.

San Francisco coach Bob Melvin said at the time, "Lee Jung-hoo showed signs of pain on his back while sleeping. It's a minor injury," but concerns about his physical condition grew as he missed the game on the 18th. MLB.COM said at the time, "The back pain lasted longer than expected," adding, "Dr. Kenneth Akizuki, the San Francisco team's doctor, takes a closer look at Lee Jung-hoo." Asked whether Lee Jung-hoo will be able to play in the opening game, Melvin also said, "The MRI is trying to check the exact condition."

Lee Jung-hoo explained, "I slept and woke up in the morning and my back hurt. I felt cramps like I had cramps. Since then, the pain has gotten worse. I don't know why it hurts."

However, early return became possible as MRI revealed no structural damage.

Lee finished the season early due to his injury last year. He hurt his shoulder while playing defense. This experience changed Lee. After the injury, he focused on recovery and was desperate.

As a result, he played 11 exhibition games and had nine hits, two homers and five RBIs in 30 times at bat, displaying robust batting average of .300. His on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS) is 0.967.

He was the No. 1 hitter last year, but he will be the No. 3 hitter this season. Through exhibition games, he solidified his position as San Francisco's starting hitter and center fielder.

Lee said, "I am looking forward to this season for a long time. Opening game is really important. If I am ready to play, of course I will. But if I am not ready, I will not overdo it. I will take advantage of my time."

"The regular Major League season is 162 games. It's a long-term game. I'll play when I'm ready," he added.
